Description
I’m going to call this one done and move on to the next test.
This was done in TVPaint. I may move back to Toon Boom to utilize the Xsheets more. The shake effect was added in After Effects.
Things I Learned:
Cleanup process, keep track of all my lines and pay attention to the motion. Pay closer attention to the onionskins.
Utilize the Xsheets more. They will help keep beat in time.
Worry more about the keys and build off of them as opposed to making up what looks right.
Pay close attention to connecting the keys one at a time instead of attacking the whole scene. This will ensure that the current portion of the project is proper until all portions are complete and proper.
Utilize the layers more, especially for those hard to get right parts. Placing the bend of an arm or the twist of a wrist on a separate layer will help keep focus on getting that portion of the animation just right.
Keep fluid in the beginning but make sure it keeps making sense.
Go tight in the end but not too tight to where the animation is stiff.
Quick motion effects are good, but less is more and remember… even if some parts of the animation are seen for only a second, that second still registers in the viewer’s eyes.
Thank you for viewing.
